Accessing Epicor Live, Pilot & Education Definitions User – A username used to log into the Epicor site to use the ERP. Environment – The location of programs, processes, and data in computer science. Live Environment – The main environment where live data is stored. Pilot Environment – A replica of the live environment containing test data, screens, queries, and BPMS. It is useful for testing changes without affecting the live system. Education Environment – An environment that includes educational courses where users can learn and test without impacting live data. Third (Test) Environment – Previously used by customers before implementing Epicor to build and test without affecting live data. This environment is now defunct for Peak Processing and cannot be accessed. Accessing the Live Environment Open the Epicor Public Cloud folder on your desktop. Select Client – This is the option for the live environment. Choose the option labeled Epicor (not MES, Handheld, etc.). A login dialog box will appear. Your user login ID follows this format: first initial + last name (e.g., John Smith → jsmith). Accessing the Pilot Environment Follow the same steps as accessing the Live Environment. Select Client Pilot instead. Accessing the Education Environment Follow the same steps as accessing the Live Environment. Select Client-Education instead. Accessing the Third (Test) Environment Follow the same steps as accessing the Live Environment. Select Client-Third Environment. This environment is now defunct and cannot be accessed.
