How to update Epicor - often a version mismatch
This happens often if the user leaves Epicor open during an update but it can also happen if the user does everything right and the PC loses WIFI during the update itself.
Error message for version mismatch
There are a few solutions.
- Force an update
- Select the login icon
- Copy it
- Right click and select properties
- Add /update
- Apply and Ok
- Double click the icon to run it
- If you get a message stating that you must be an administrator select Continue
- Use the icon to login – it should update
- After you can sign in remove the /update from the target and select apply and okay again
- Completely uninstall/ reinstall Epicor
- Uninstall with control panel - continue even if this does not work
- Browse to https://download.epicorsaas.com/
- Enter site ID

Download for the following environments, live, pilot and education. You will not need others
- If Pilot is working then you only need to replace Live to get the user working
- Select the MES checkbox too
- If this fails, you may have to reboot the laptop then reinstall again.
